Part of what makes s’mores so good is the warm, gooey texture. And you can achieve that with this delicious and easy s’mores dip that only requires 3 ingredients. Yep, that’s right. The same number of ingredients needed when you make a s’more over the fire. (This recipe is similar to my Creamy Frozen S’mores Bites, which also only requires 3 ingredients.)
I recently took this s’mores dip to a family party and it received rave reviews. Everyone kept asking, “Who brought this dip??” and I happily raised my hand. (I have no shame when it comes to claiming the yummy food I bring to parties.)
So if you need a quick and easy dip to take to your next party, then this s’mores dip is for you!

S’mores Dip
- Chocolate Chips – I recommend milk chocolate chips for a more authentic s’mores flavor, but you can definitely tone down the sweetness by using semisweet chocolate chips instead.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk – This helps achieve a creamy texture and allows you to easily reheat the dip.
- Marshmallow Fluff – Can’t call this s’mores dip without that fluffy, marshmallowy goodness! You can find this in the store next to the regular marshmallows.
For Dipping
- Graham Crackers – The classic choice for dipping.
- Vanilla Wafers – Similar in texture to graham crackers but different flavor.
- Chocolate Chip Cookies – Store bought cookies work great.
- Pretzels – Use pretzels for a yummy sweet and salty flavor combo.
Recommended Supplies
- Glass mixing bowl
- Silicone spatula
- Butter knife
- Serving bowl or dish – I’ve served this in a bowl (as seen in the pictures) and in a more shallow baking dish (such as an 8×8 pan)
- Serving tray – For the dipping goodies
How to Make S’mores Dip
Pour chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk into a glass bowl.

Microwave on high for 1 minute and stir. Continue microwaving in 1 minute increments and stirring until the chips are melted and it is smooth.

Pour into a shallow bowl or square glass pan and spread evenly.
Drop marshmallow fluff by Tbsp randomly over chocolate mixture.

Microwave on high for 30-60 seconds, or until fluff is softened.
Using a butter knife, swirl the marshmallow fluff through the chocolate to create a marbled effect.

Serve immediately with graham crackers, cookies, pretzels, etc for dipping.

Tips for Success
- Microwave in increments. When melting chocolate chips, remember to microwave them in shorter increments. If they are in the heat too long, they will burn and you will have to start over. Because the chocolate chips in this recipe are mixed with the sweetened condensed milk, you can microwave them for a little longer than if they were by themselves.
- Stir well. Part of the appeal of this dip is how creamy and smooth the texture is. This is achieved by stirring well each time you take it out of the microwave. Use a silicone spatula to really scrape around the edges and ensure everything will be well incorporated.

Recipe FAQs
Can I make the s’mores dip ahead of time?
Yes, in part. You can heat the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk and get that part done ahead of time. However, if you need to transport the dessert somewhere, I’d recommend bringing the marshmallow fluff with you. Then you can drop the fluff on top, heat it up and swirl it just before serving.
How should I store any leftover s’mores dip?
You can cover and store the s’mores dip in the fridge. If you served it in a glass dish or bowl, this will make reheating it easy since the glass is microwave safe.
Can I serve this in a mini warming pot?
If the dip is going to be out for a while, you could put it in a mini warming pot. The only problem with this is that you can’t control the temperature and you may end up with burnt dip. So if you try this option for keeping the s’mores dip warm, just make sure to check on it periodically and unplug it if it seems like it’s getting to hot.
