Have you ever had a vision for a photo shoot and then it actually comes to life? That is exactly what happened to me when I got my maternity pictures taken for baby #4 in a field of sunflowers.

While I have three (almost four) kids, I have only gotten maternity pictures for my third baby, who is my rainbow baby, and this baby who is due in October. I definitely regret not getting maternity pictures taken with my first two kids. It is such a great way to celebrate a special and unique time in your life!

When the opportunity came up for me to get some pictures taken in a huge field of sunflowers, I jumped on it. There is something so dreamy and magical and carefree about a field of sunflowers. We went as the sun was getting low in the sky and finished up as it was setting.

We took these pictures when I was almost 29 weeks and I have to say I was definitely more comfortable than when my last ones were taken at about 36 weeks. Even though it was later in the evening when we took the pictures, it was so hot! Emily and I both felt like we were melting. My hair had lost a lot of the curl by the end, but Emily still managed to help me feel pretty and she got some of my favorite shots as we were finishing up.

The result is a collection of pictures that I am so happy with and can’t wait to share with you! If you are local to the Salt Lake City area, I highly recommend contacting Emily Price to get your pictures taken. (Instagram) (Website)

  1. Your pictures turned out so good. The Sunflower field is such a fun idea. This baby #3 is the first one I have taken maternity photos and I wish I would have done it with my first two. I would love to get family photos taken on the beach sometime.
