Despite having a fridge and pantry full of food choices, at least once a day one of my children will say, “What can I have for a snack?” This leads to me listing off a number of suggestions, only to be met with, “But I don’t want any of those!” To help my kids figure out what kind of snack to choose, I made this list of easy snack ideas and put it on my fridge. Now when my kids wonder what they can have to eat, I simply tell them to look at the list of options.
I included snack ideas that I would be fine with them eating without having to check with me first. You won’t find cookies or other sweets on the list. I did this because I want them to ask me before they have those types of food.
In many cases, you could let your child(ren) pick one snack from each column. For example, they might want apples and peanut butter or graham crackers and milk. Having this list of easy snack ideas available will help your kids and the rest of your family make healthy snack choices.

Where Should I Put My Snack Ideas List?
We attach our list of easy snack ideas to our fridge using magnets. Another great place to keep this snack ideas list is in your pantry! Since there are snack suggestions that are both refrigerated and dry, this keeps your list easily accessible to everyone looking for a snack.

Best Tips for Making Your List Durable
Keep your list clean and help the paper last longer by laminating it!
One of my favorite small investments is my personal laminator. Any time I print something out that needs to last for more than 5 minutes, I quickly heat up the laminator, put the paper in a laminating pouch and put it through.
I also like to use card stock rather than regular printer paper. When you laminate card stock, you’ll end up with a much more durable end product. This means less waste overall because you aren’t having to replace your lists as often.

What else would you add to the list?
