“Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail…” But which way IS the bunny trail? Look no further because I have just the cut file for you! This bunny trail SVG is perfect for Easter and Spring decor, plus it will only take a few minutes to cut it out on your Silhouette (or other cutting machine) and apply it to a pre-made sign.
Supplies Needed to Make a Bunny Trail Sign
- Unfinished Wood sign
- Vinyl (color of your choice)
- Wood stain (optional)
- Acrylic paint (optional)
- Foam brush (optional)
- Transfer tape
- Silhouette Cameo
- Cutting mat
- Bunny Trail SVG (see below)
How to Make a Bunny Trail Sign
First, decide on the shape and size of sign you want to create.
Next, choose the finish you want. You could leave the wood untouched, stain it or paint it. If you are staining or painting your wood, do that before applying the vinyl. I recommend using a foam brush. (Check out my post about how to stain wood for more tips.)
Once the wood is ready to go, you can cut your vinyl. For bigger signs, you can leave the cut file as is, resizing as needed. For more narrow signs, you can ungroup the words and arrow, then resize if needed.
Cut your vinyl, weed the area outside the words and apply the transfer tape on top.
Center your vinyl on your sign and press down. Remove the transfer tape by slowly pulling at an angle.
Display your cute, new sign!
