When you think of a tropical dinner party, I’m guessing the first thing that comes to mind is a luau. A luau is “an elaborate Hawaiian party or feast, especially one accompanied by entertainment.” (source) And what luau would be complete without pineapples? If you are going to be hosting a luau, definitely include these pineapple place cards.
Recommended Supplies
How to make the pineapple place cards SVG
I would recommend two types of crafting materials for this project.
First, you will need some thick card stock. I suggest yellow since it is a pineapple themed project, but I could see this design working well with brown, gold or even green.
Second, the easiest way to add the words to the pineapple place cards will be to use some adhesive vinyl. A contrasting color will work best, such as yellow card stock and brown or green vinyl.
Once you cut the place cards out with your machine, gently fold them along the dashed line so they stand up like a little tent. The pineapple will “sit” on the top of the card. To add words, you can either write them in by hand or use the adhesive vinyl method mentioned above.
Where can I use the pineapple place cards?
You can use them for labeling the different dishes you are serving. Another way to use these pineapple place cards are as name cards if you have specific seating arrangements. I love how the pineapple silhouette just sits right on top of these tented cards.
What font should I use?
*NOTE* The text shown in the feature images is not included with the pineapple place card SVG. This is because I do not own the font and there is not a way to edit the text. You will need to use a font that is in your design software.
