With so many hotels around Disneyland, it can feel overwhelming to know which one is best for your family. I recently had the opportunity to visit 5 family friendly hotels close to Disneyland. Each one offers their own perks and amenities so you can choose what fits your family best.

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel

Address: 900 South Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802

The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is located one mile from the Disneyland Resort. With a fun castle-theme, this property is very family friendly. They have beautiful gardens, koi ponds and fountains spread across their 13 acres. The pool is centrally located outside, but enclosed within the walls of the “castle”, perfect for escaping the hot weather.

While walking to the park is an option, you have to cross busy streets near the freeway on one side, or go through Downtown Disney on the other side. That’s why it is so amazing that the Majestic Garden Hotel offers a FREE shuttle called the Dream Machine. It runs all day, up until an hour after the park closes to get you back to the hotel safely.

I have personally stayed at the Majestic Garden Hotel and can tell you that I am very impressed with the size of their rooms. My first thought when I walked in was “my family of 6 would easily fit in here”. Roll-away beds are available in both twin and queen sizes for an extra fee.

The Holiday Inn and Suites in Anaheim is a 15-minute walk to Downtown Disney. This family-friendly hotel is perfect for couples or families looking to stay close to the Disneyland Resort. In this hotel, you will find spacious guest rooms and suites that offer plush bedding and separate vanity areas for convenience. They have a nice pool area where you can relax on a hot day. Or let the kids play in the Splash Zone!

The Four Points by Sheraton in Anaheim is located two blocks from the Disneyland Resort. They have lush landscaping and a newly renovated restaurant, lobby and pool area. The pool area is open 24 hours a day and also has a small splash zone for your kids. You can request a pool view room, which also allows you to watch the nightly fireworks show from right outside your hotel room.

If you find that you’ve forgotten something essential, you can probably find it in their well-stocked gift shop. I saw a variety of Disney shirts, as well as snacks, sunscreen and drinks.

SpringHill Suites Anaheim Maingate

With recently renovated rooms, the SpringHill Suites Anaheim Maingate hotel is great for all types of travelers. Their room are spacious, airy and bright and include a small fridge, microwave and counter space for extra food. A free breakfast is included with your stay. The pool area is small but still a great place to relax mid-day or at the end of the day. You can see the park’s fireworks from some of the suites as well.
