When I was challenged to create an SVG file to go along with Earth Day, I’ll admit that I was stumped. This lead to me to look into the origin of Earth Day. According their official website, Earth Day started in 1970. It was created to be a unifying day, as they encouraged everyone to unite for change. Over 50 years later, this is still a large part of the mission and purpose of Earth Day.
In honor of Earth Day, I’ve created this FREE SVG file called “Yours, Mine, Ours” as a reminder that the earth belongs to all of us. As such, it’s our responsibility to do what we can to take care of it.
I decided to use this design on a tote bag so that I can have it with me as a reminder whenever I go out. I love that this design isn’t limited to just Earth Day and can be used year round.

To create the design on this tote bag I decided to use the freezer paper method and some fabric paint. I think it turned out really fun and was a great way to get a different kind of look. I have an entire post about how to use the freezer paper method in case it is new to you.
But you could easily use HTV to apply the design to this tote bag or whatever else you are using the design for. Additionally, this design can be used for boys, girls, adults and kids!
How to get your FREE “Yours, Mine, Ours” Earth Day SVG file
You can download the FREE “Yours, Mine, Ours” SVG file by entering your name and email below. You will then receive the file in a separate email which you can then download onto your computer or directly into your cutting machine software.
*NOTE* There will be a rectangle around the design when you open it in your design space. (See below) If you are using the file as a stencil like I did for the tote bag, I recommend leaving it so that you can more easily place the freezer paper on your project. If you are using HTV to apply your design, simply remove the rectangle.

I love seeing all of the different designs that the other designers come up with for this month’s theme of Earth Day. You can check them out in the collage below and then click on the link that goes along with it to be taken directly to their site.
