Warm and buttery, this buttermilk syrup will becoming a staple in your family.
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, buttermilk and butter. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and baking soda and stir constantly. Syrup will foam and rise quickly. Keep stirring until the syrup starts to go down.
Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
