I have been blessed (cursed?) with big veins and it wasn’t until I donated blood for the first time in high school that I found out how great that actually is! My poor friends who have small veins ended up with bruises and multiple pokes, but not me. Years later, I still notice the look of relief on a nurse’s face when I need to have my blood drawn. For all the work and service they provide, I’m happy that my big veins make their job just a little bit easier.
If you are a nurse, or you know a nurse, this nurse SVG file is perfect for a variety of projects!

This is a hoot! I am a RN & worked for the Red Cross for 7.5 years. I was really good at “sticking” people. My husband used to call me a vampire. I would be rubbing his hand or arm & the next thing, I was feeling his veins. It freaked him out. This was just force of habit!
That’s so funny! I am always told I have good veins whenever I give blood, which is basically a compliment in my book, lol!
