If you’re looking for a quick and easy craft project, these flower button magnets will be perfect for you! I was able to make four of them in about 15 minutes.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- small fake flowers
- buttons
- glue (I used a hot glue gun)
- needle and thread
- scissors
- small wooden disk (1″ or less in diameter)
- magnets
First, I looked through my flowers and found some in coordinating colors. I had different sizes which made it easy to layer them. Then I found small buttons to go with each set.
To keep the flowers and button from being too bulky, I sewed them together.
Then I used a small wooden disk and glued it to the bottom of the flower to add stability. After that I glued a magnet to the disk and let it set.
And that’s it! Sometimes I want to be creative but don’t have a lot of time to devote to crafts. These flower button magnets are fun and cute and would make great gifts for friends, family, teachers, co-workers and others. There are so many different kinds of flowers to choose from that you can easily make these to fit any style.
This post is part of the monthly link party I host called Inspire My Creativity. Each month, a group of bloggers all create a project based around a theme and this month the theme is BUTTONS. There are tons of great ideas and I know you’ll get inspired to create something fun and new!
Next month our theme is SPRING!
