Before my family and I went to Disneyland last fall, I did a TON of research on a million different website and blogs trying to learn as much as possible about lodging and food and travel and strollers and souvenirs and anything else I could think of that I might need to know about when planning a trip to Disneyland. I learned a lot and everything I found was really helpful. Our trip to Disneyland was a huge success and I even learned a few things that I’ve been able to share with others.
But what if you don’t have the time to to sift through all that information and find what’s really relevant? That’s where Disneyland On Any Budget comes in handy. Jessica Sanders from The Happiest Blog on Earth is all about all things Disney. She and her family go to Disneyland several times a year and she is always up to date on the latest changes and updates to the park.
I received a copy of Disneyland On Any Budget and was able to read through it in less than an hour. But all the information Jessica packs into this little book is well worth the read (and re-read)! She covers ways to save for Disneyland, where to get discount tickets, how to save money on food, where to start your day, hotel accommodations, grocery stores, best places to find souvenirs and on and on. Jessica really knows her stuff!

One thing I loved and thought was a great little touch is that each chapter/section starts off with a fun quote from a Disney movie that goes along with what the chapter is about. Jessica also shares examples and real life experiences (both her own and others) to help illustrate her points. At the end of each section, she gives a little recap. If you buy the book, you also have access to bonus content on her website!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to plan a trip to Disneyland in the coming year. The information you’ll learn is invaluable to making your experience the best possible. No matter what your budget is, Disneyland On Any Budget is a great tool to help you and your family visit the happiest place on earth!

I haven't been to Disneyland since I was little, but I can imagine it would be expensive now! This book looks really helpful.
It's so great to be included in your blog post, thank you for sharing your honest opinion on my book. I hope you get to plan another Disneyland trip real soon!
Love Disneyland and love Jessica! I can't wait to hear about your trip, I'm always interested to see how people like Disneyland!
Looks like a useful little book! I'm going back to Disneyland in July (for D23!) so I may need to check this out to save a little money!
I've never been to Disneyland in California (Just Tokyo and Hong Kong)…I'm hoping to be able to go in the next year or so–and I'll have to be very strategic with the budget, indeed!
I definitely need to read this. We are planning for a january disney trip.
We're fans of Disney all around and have been to both. We try to budget but any extra savings are welcome, of course. Guessing this will help save some for Disney World, too? Will check out this little book!!
My little girl's been wanting us to take her to Disney land. She's been asking us for a while now. If we can do it on the best budget, that will be an awesome deal for us. Thank you!!
Disneyland is so fun! I went to Disney World back in high school and would love to go back. Have so much fun!
Disney World sounds like a blast! I've been once but it was a long time ago and I wasn't the one planning it. You need all the help you can get when you're planning a Disney vacation and the resources in this book are invaluable.
Anything I can do to save money on vacations without sacrificing experience is a win in my book! Definitely check out this book for some great resources.
Before going this last year with my family, I'd never planned a trip to Disneyland (just went with my parents) so it was really different being on the planning end of things. If you decide to go any time soon, check out this book for tons of great resources.
You're so welcome Jessica! You shared so much awesome information that I didn't find anywhere else when I was planning our trip the first time around. Great resource!
We went to Disneyland last fall and it was so fun, but I can't wait to go back and apply all the things I learned from Jessica. And you better believe it will be on the blog! 😉
It was a great book Becky! Definitely check it out before you go in July.
I've never been to a theme park outside the U.S. I wonder how Disneyland in CA would compare to Tokyo and Hong Kong! There were some useful tips for saving money in this book so be sure to check it out!
Absolutely! The book comes in both paperback and electronic which makes it really convenient. I hope you have fun in January!
The book is specific to Disneyland, but I'm guessing that some of the same resources she mentions in terms of saving money could work for Disney World too.
You can definitely go and still experience the magic on a budget!
I have never been to Disneyland but it is definitely on my bucket list and I will make sure to get the book before I go. Thanks so much for sharing!
Never been to Disneyland but I'm sure budgeting is a huge priority when planning! Some day I'll take the kiddos there!
It's a lot of fun! I don't know if you've been to Disney World yet, but Disneyland is fun in a totally different way.
Absolutely! Just because something is expensive doesn't mean you have to pay full price for it. She shares some pretty great tips in her book to help with saving money.
