While I’d like to think the majority of my Target runs are pretty successful when it comes to bang for my buck, my most recent trip was definitely in the minority. I bought just two items: a Halloween bowling activity for my kids and a pack of plain white t-shirts for my son. Super fun, right? *wink*
I plan on pulling out the bowling for them this week. It will be a fun activity to do both indoors and outdoors and while it’s Halloween themed, I think we might keep it out for a little longer if they are really having a good time with it. Since my kids are only a couple of years apart, they are able to do a lot of things together and they get along pretty well most of the time. (Although my daughter does tend to be a little bit bossy…)
As for the t-shirts, I find myself layering them underneath my son’s long sleeve shirts as the weather has cooled down here and also as a barrier between the shirt and his skin that’s a little softer. (Is it just me, or do boys shirts tend to be a little rougher?) One thing that’s really nice about the pack of shirts I got is that it came with eight shirts for about $6. This means that I could take one or two of them and turn them into graphic tees using my Silhouette Cameo and some iron on transfer. I’ve got a few ideas in mind already…
And that’s it! This month I actually spent a little less than $10 (including tax) since the two items I got were only $9. BUT I do think that I what I bought will get great use out of them and that makes me happy.
While you’re here, I definitely recommend checking out what the other co-hosts of the $10 at Target challenge were able to get!
